Absolutely! This walking tour is a delightful experience for all ages. Plus, children ages 3 and under can join for free! Remember to select a complimentary ticket for them to assist the tour guide in keeping an accurate count of participants. Please note, free child tickets do not include individual food and drink samples, as it's expected that young children will share with their parents. If you'd like your little ones to have their own samples, simply choose a regular child ticket for them.
This guided walking tour lasts approximately 3 hours. The pace is easy and ideal for all ages and activity levels.
Sorry, pets are not allowed on the tours.
The walking tours start at two locations around the city and while Bobby's Bike Hike do their best to accommodate restrooms at the start of your tour, they highly recommend using the restroom before your tour. They will have restroom stops built into each walking tour. For their food and walking tours, all the restaurants they visit will have restrooms.
During the tour, restaurant partners will provide water free of charge.
Most of the stops should be ADA compliant, but please note that sometimes restaurants included in the tour change which cannot guarantee every restaurant will not include stairs of some sort which might make things difficult.
Bring a government-issued ID especially if you're planning on ordering alcoholic drinks, a credit card and cash (to tip the guide), and a smartphone/camera for pictures. Wear comfortable walking shoes and loose-fitting clothes appropriate for the weather conditions on the day of your tour. Wear layers, particularly in spring and fall. Many of Bobby's Bike Tours tours are downtown, close to Lake Michigan, one of the largest lakes in the world, which can alter the temperature quickly based on the direction of the wind.
Tours run snow, rain or shine. During the nicer months, Bobby’s Bike Hike use the beautiful outdoor promenades for their walking tours. And during inclement weather, they can duck down and use Chicago’s unique underground pedway system to get from point to point. Don’t forget to always dress for the weather and bring your own rain gear if the weather forecast calls for rain.
No worries about the pace—it's suitable for everyone! The tour includes 6-8 stops at various attractions, giving you rest breaks while the knowledgeable guide explains Chicago's history and brings stories to life. Please note that some tours include stairs.
The tour price does not include gratuities in the cost of their tours. If you had a great time gratuities are accepted by their tour guides.
